Oldschool FCs Only
This thread was **** from the beginning...
mazdaverx713b you obviously don't understand that YES these cars were being modded in Japan right after they were released.
No one wants to see your lame stock or modded S4/S5, We want to see pics of the cars in Japan from the early 90's being modded when the cars first came out. There's been so many posts along the way explaining this and yet the next post after is always some douchebag posting up 3-4 bone stock S4's. That's old but it's not old school.

Oh wait, I'm sure that's not "old school" enough. I'm with mazdaverx713b on this topic - for those of us with a driver's license in the late 80's and early 1990's - this is what you saw with these cars. Mostly STOCK, daily drivers.
That's the true "old school".

No one [in this thread] cares.
We don't need you're ol' timey stories about the days when a pop was a nickle and you remember picking up your sweet-heart for the Saturday night sock-hop. We're the hip new generation of angsty misunderstood wild ones. We think the Sex Pistols had talent. We wear our pants too tight and our shorts too long.
****, think Transformers is a good movie!
You're in the wrong thread, Mister.

that was goodi see that. and i'll tell you what, i wont waste your ever so prescious hip time with my never posted boring old stories. and what you guys are posting about are not about old school cars. someone mentioned posting pics of FC's with old school parts form the time period of when the FC was on the market. i havent seen any of that. just a bunch of body kits and graphics and wheels. so i will further add that while i appreciate the amount of work that has gone into the building of the FC's posted, they're not for me.
You young whipper snappers - you guys DO realize that:
In the early 1990's, these cars weren't that old. People weren't "blinging" them out because they were about the sharpest cars on the road already. We never saw them with "sleepy eye" mods, and the FD car, at least for me, was like a holy **** someday I'll get one of those, but for now it's way out of reach type of cars.
Sure, some people changed the wheels and stuff, but at least here in the midwest and Florida you rarely saw heavily modified FC3's. They were still expensive! 15k for a car in 1990 was a lot! Don't forget about the recession we had in the early 90's.
Yes, the Japanese tuners were already playing around modifying the FCs when they were new as shown in some of the better posts so far.

Even Mazda's 1985 prototype model of the GTO class race car (final GTO bodywork in pictures above) did not have S4 rubstrips.
A blow to our S4 pride!
