new wheels...flame suit on
I'll probably get flamed for this, but hopefully some of you like it. I think with a drop, it'll look 100x better. I got bored and decided to throw my "spare" set of OEM wheels on. I wanted to wait until I had swapped the rears out to 225/40's and got some coilovers, but I got bored. Hopefully I'm able to source some decently priced coilovers soon. I'll update with pics when I get the coils, pull the fenders and throw 225/40's on the rear.
Here are the current specs after the adapters:
18x8 +22 225/40
18x9 +1 255/40

fender pull + lowering + lil neg camber and thinner tires should be fine. Im not sure if your trying to reserve those wheels still if they ever have to go back on teh e46. Still cool, kudos for doing it.
but if i had a e46 m3, i doubt i would want to play with the fc anymore lol

I was wondering about the different bolt patter. Shame, it looks like rear is about an inch too far out too.

haha, thanks for the comments all. I knew some of you would start commenting about how it wasn't lowered and yes, in about 5 minutes I'm actually going to be paypal-ing some money for coils. Hopefully they come soon. Once it's lowered and with less ***-meat it will look a lot better. There'll be a little stretch in the rear, but I believe I can even get it to fit with the 255's if I did an aggressive pull.
The M3 is fun out of the box. I like being able to drive without slowing too much for speed bumps. I came from a ridiculously low IS300 so I'm enjoying the driving characteristics of the stock M3. The handling is more than I can ask for, for the time being. I will probably throw just some springs on eventually when I'm finished with the FC. The FC's already faster than the M3, now I must make it brake and handle better.
I told myself that I'd spend money to make the M3 more of a beauty and the FC more of a beast (get it get it?). Not the other way around. Turbo kit for the M3 is ~$16k for the HPF --and that's without internals and installation. The FC is considerably cheaper to build and less worry if I break anything, hence my reasoning.
Gyea gyea what's good bay point!

Well, I had the wheels already, so throwing them on was only a matter of $200 for the adapters. Not too bad if you ask me. I think it's worth while cause you can find a whole bunch of aggressive offset wheels for BMWs for cheap, as you said. Thanks

If you wanna go with that, surehmm.. it gets the point across AND CONTRIBUTES to the topics, why do you have a problem with my response? this is a free forum, freedom of speech. Regarding references to Japan related things, this is a japanese car, its natural to reference to the cars homeland styling. If we lived anywhere else, and where discussing an american car, the rules would easily be reversed.

That last picture contributed nothing but maybe humor to some, a slap on the forehead for others. I belong to a few American Car forums as well as a few off-road forums as well. We NEVER reference Detroit, or anyone elses rig either. Perhaps we have original thoughts. Theory dismissed.
All of the pictures on this thread contribute to nothing more than humor and a slap on the forehead.
