New sportmax 006 wheels
Just mounted up a set of Sportmax 006 17x8 on 225/45/17Falken 452's. Looks great, definetly beats the old stockers. The fronts sit perfectly flush and the rears are not quite there but close enough. 17's were definetly the way to go, not to big not to small and doesn't slaughter performance as bad as 18's. S4 tails are on currently, s5 tails got sent in for modenizing.
Here's a few pictures. I'll try and get better ones in the next couple days.

Looks good man. I was just searching for an fc with those wheels. After seeing yours I think I have decided to go that way as well. Thanks for the info as well think I will go with 9s in the rear. Was going to go with 18s wasn't aware that they take away from performance. Is that right?? Or stick with 17s?

Holy crap, took a long time to get some attention on showing off my wheels.
I talked to a few guys about 17s and 18s performance. Here's is what one of them had to say:
"but it will only cover more ground if the sidewall of the tire also remains the same... if you have really low profile tires on 18's and the standard low pros on 17's the overal diameter would remain the same...
it will take a little more energy to both start and stop since you will have more unsprung weight and more rotational mass to contend with but it will be very nominal and go very unnoticed in higher HP vehicles...
but if you slap 18s on a low hp vehicle you will notice it have slightly slower acceleration and longer stopping distances...
also because you have more unsprung weight and more rotational mass a brake upgrade is manditory...
for ex, i got some 17;s for the DD but i also upgraded to sloted rotors and better pads... so while it still takes a lil more for accel, i have improved tires and handling over the stock steelies and now i can stop better which is the most important thing when living with the wildlife in the koots"
Personally I think 17s look great, haven't seen 18s on an fc yet. You can be the first to do it.
