My S5 FC

Hi guys,
Been browsing the forums for a few years, think its time i posted up a few pics of my ride!

Car is an aussie delievered s5. its had a complete turbo conversion - engine, gearbox, tailshaft, diff and half shafts were all from a turbo car. car is engineered for the turbo motor, so its legal.

Mods on the car aren't huge. Car runs a SM4 Autronic, pod filter and twin 2.5 inch exhaust system. Already have another FC that i went crazy on with GT35, fmic etc etc, this car will be staying as you see it.
Only mod i may do is lower it a bit and replace any worn suspension bushes in the car.

Probably should've vacuumed first! Love the color - black on black

Thanks guys
Andrew

Nice! Reminds me of my car when it was stock, cept mine was all beat up lol. Very rare color combo, I'm surprised the interior isn't burgundy, must be a US thing. I've also never seen a factory turbo II that color.

Thanks guys
Yeah the exhaust is something im going fix, im going to try raise it a bit with some smaller exhaust rubbers.
The car is a factory N/A car.... probably why you haven't seen it as a factory turbo 2 door color.
i love the clean lines of the FC over cars that have kits on them

Thanks
Andrew

Ok so ive been having an issue with the car since i got it where the motor would ping on the slightest bit of acceleration into positive boost and the car would use **** loads of fuel. Previous tune before i bought the car was done by Adelaide Fours & Rotaries

Anyway got around to getting it tuned by Shaun at Boostworxs today, the coils had been wired differently (not necessarily wrong) but the way the computer was setup with the timing and the firing was fucked,

So yeah got the car running sweeeeeeeet, fuel map was all over the joint, wasnt even near stoichiometric @ idle so shaun redid the fuel map as well, did a few pulls car made 154rwkw @ 7psi (200hp) which i am really pleased about as the kms of the motor are unknown and the only mods it has are autronic, walbro pump, pod filter and cat back mufflers. On the road car pulls smooth as and is reasonably quick for stock turbo etc.

Plans are to crank the boost a little bit higher maybe 9-10psi and ideally get a highflow for it one day, but im happy with the car as is, it SHOULD (keyword SHOULD lol) hopefully be reliable as an everday driver now

Well long time no update!
Since my last post, I basically drove the car around for a year and a half as it was, the only issue I had was on really hot days, the car would drop the ign power then back on and just cycle every couple of seconds, was really annoying and left me stranded a few times.

Anyway long story short after checking all wiring etc, I had the ECU checked by Autronic and they found a dry solder on the board. Fixed this problem and the issue has never been back! Sweet!

So until recently I was playing around with another project (1JZ in a Cressida), when it struck me that, geez, I don't want this Cressida to be my money pit when the car I really love and want to drive is my RX7. I promptly got rid of the Cressida and focused all my energy onto my FC

In the last 3 weeks I've managed to fit a T04B comp/ S5 rear turbo with ported wastegate and 1000cc Rochester secondary injectors.
Anyways car got tuned on the 24/12/10, boost set to 13psi and managed to get 200rwkw/ 260hp at the wheels. Mods are walbro pump, pod filter, 3inch turbo back and autronic and 1000cc secondaries. KM's are unknown on this motor. I am happy with the power it makes for the street.

My biggest power robbing concern is off course the factory intercooler, I may look at upgrading to an ARC or HKS TMIC or even possibly water injection. Not keen on cutting the car up to fit a FMIC.

Anyways I love the car, it goes like a cut snake and sounds awesome when it hits boost.
Next mods, well dunno might get some coil overs but other than that, not much really.

Dyno pic

Cheers guys
Andrew

Very nice! I've got an autronic sm4 sitting around waiting to go into mine. Good figures for stock turbo etc, I'm looking into bumpstarts intercooler setup for an upgrade in that regards as well.

Will try and create a plugin harness for the autronic so doesn't need rewiring, tricky but doable I think! How have you found it compared to standard?
