omg i just wrote this long post out and lost it cuz it logged me out for taking to long but i will do it again and copy just in case it does it again....

i would like to apologize rrtec you are correct and i am sorry for the grammar im not to worried about it, i try to spell stuff right but dont really care about run on sentences but i will start throwing some periods in there. Im sorry for being so cryptic but i like to keep what i have or am doing under wraps till it is done. Im definately not ten or trying to sound immature lol
as far as my list lol

Mufflers.......dont care, worried about performance not sound
Intake Filter system....i am going to put a CAI in it but not sitting in the bay an actual CAI
Banging wheels...the wheels i have now are fine and when i do get more it will be for peformance only
Larger spoiler...defiantely not, i dont like the one i have on there now and will be taking it off. it came like that when i bought it and havent wrenched on it much
Painted interior pieces....................:/ <that should say how i feel about that

the reason i havent said what i have and putting in it is because i dont want you guys to bash me lol, i know i will hear oh no not another guy saying he is doing this swap and then never do it. believe me i am dead serious about it and will get it done. i guess i can tell you guys since we are not ten lol

my plan is to get in the 300-400hp range (for now im going to keep the engine i have stock). i definately want to try and have it done by summer.

what i have is an rew, trans, and diff (and drive shaft if it will work, if not i will get one that does)
what i need to do/get is weld in a crossmember, get trans mount or make, custom harness (yes i am keeping sequential, my opinion) and a couple other things
as far as pics i will post some when i can

i hope this makes this thread a little more legit. sorry chevy, your right saying drift battle does sound young and noobish now that i am saying it lol i definately wont be saying that again. for now i am going to let this thread die until i make some decent progress so you guys can see im not all talk and i will definately take lots of pics, until i make some progress later lol.

Oh this will become interesting (either for the good or bad). I'm assuming you are still a high school student, like me, and I'll let you know that this swap will take lots of $$$$. Purchase smart, but DON'T take any cheapo shortcuts though. I hope you have a nice paying job or wealthy parents lol. It's also good to meet rotary people in your area because they can offer priceless help. Look forward to seeing your progress though!

REW swaps are very doable, but you will need to really look into standalone fuel control, and try to find someone local that can help tune...

There are lots of tech threads on this swap, read a few several times.. When I used to cram newer motors in 1st gen cars I would print out entire 20+ page threads and read them like books.. Same thing when I started doing 6port turbo swaps.. ALso S5 turbo engines into s4 chassis cars.... Reseach, collect parts. And learn from those who have done and failed, and done and triumphed...

Good Luck!

Of course it's doable, any swap is really. I did the swap when I was 18, never even did an oil change before it. It wasn't a walk in the park though, almost everything is custom and I figured it out the hard way, buying **** and seeing if it would work.
If he can do it with "just a couple things" and still have a respectable looking/working vehicle, I applaud him...

I like to do professional looking stuff so cheapo wont work. Sad to say there is no rotary people in my area that i know of . rrtec thats funny you say that, i actually have read a good bit of all the swap threads for this lol and i print them out and read them all the time so i know exactly what im getting into , i have a little intelligence and thanks chevy will do

Accepted haha.
PS ditch the FD trans. TII clutch setup and trans bolts right on and makes it so you dont need a release bearing conversion and lets you use the FC master and slave.

I beg to differ, you made a thread saying in the summer you will be racing a riced bmw and a monte carlo (both currently not running) with your n/a vert pretty much the slowest kind 2nd gen rx7.

Mufflers.......dont care, worried about performance not sound

Mufflers are important, quality will affect performance so you should care, don't get ebay. go with a n1 (loud but better than racing beat, performance wise)

Intake Filter system....i am going to put a CAI

"Cold Air Intake" where are you planning on getting "cold" air? even if you put the intake outside the car at most you will be getting ambient temperature, unless its below 50f-60f degrees outside. get an AAI.

Banging wheels...the wheels i have now are fine and when i do get more it will be for peformance only

no and performance wheels, get diamond racing

Larger spoiler...defiantely not, i dont like the one i have on there now and will be taking it off. it came like that when i bought it and havent wrenched on it much

You can't even take off a spoiler on your car when you are in some sort of automotive class. and you expect me to believe you will do a REW swap in less then 5 months

my plan is to get in the 300-400hp range (for now im going to keep the engine i have stock). i definately want to try and have it done by summer.

Are you planning on racing with your stock engine or the swapped engine?

i hope this makes this thread a little more legit. sorry chevy, your right saying drift battle does sound young and noobish now that i am saying it lol

take it to SCCA and prove you can drive your car, drifting does not mean you can drive. just that you can make the car go sideways.
oh and

Hate to say it dude, but judging by the way you present your posts, I don't think you realize how much work and money this will take. What ecu are you using, FD? why? Whats your budget? Have you done hours upon days of homework to learn how to properly set up a 300+hp rotary, that is in fact reliable?

Not trying to rip on you, just trying to point you in the right direction. If you are stubornly set on doing the REW swap, than go for it, it'll be awesome. However if you want 400hp cheaper and much much easier, sell the REW and do a Turbo II swap, you will save much headache and cash.

Did anyone else read the thread title and go "I bet this guy just joined the site" came in and went oh look feb 2011.

Your budget is going to blow out and your car will never get done. Good luck getting 300 - 400 hp on stock turbos and engine.

whoa slow rotor, i never said i was going to do it on stock turbos. I guessed i jumbled the words up, what it was suppose to say is im going to put it in stock for now and drive it like that. then when i rebuild it for more power im going to aim for low 300 (i know i said 300-400, but i really meant low 3's sorry) and ive been on this site longer then that, just became a member this month though and by the way sir, it will get done. you will see

Kudos on the REW plan ^_^

Though as mentioned before you should really run a Turbo II transmission and S4 Turbo II diff. Much much simpler and even more reliable. From what I've been told by a local expert, the T2 trans is actually more durable than the FD trans

That bmw is probably a 325. It has the wrong front bumper, mirrors, headlights and on top of that it was repainted yellow.
