My New Daily Driver

I just purchased an '84 VW Rabbit Diesel. It has a kit from Greasecar.com so it can run on WVO(Waste Vegetable Oil). It gets 50mpg and it can run on used french fry grease or any used vegetable oil. It's quite a change going from daily driving my 7 to this, but I will love it when I start saving some serious $$$ The car has around 16K miles on a rebuilt engine and has lots of other things replaced. The PO gave me 7K worth of receipts at least. It's not the prettiest car, but it should be solid for a long time. I will get some pics of it if it's not raining tomorrow.

I like it, but if I were the owner of a non-converted rabbit diesel, I'd have a hard time trying to justify spending $1130.00.

+1 for German cars though. As completely weird as they are, they sure are bullet proof. My Audi only let me down once, and it was my fault for leaving the battery connected while I was deployed I hope I never have to figure out why I have an aux water pump, and how much it'll be to replace it...
