NC My FC project car

This is my new project. Its a 88 GSL. It's leaking coolant from either side of the intermediate housing. Other than that, its a pretty clean car. I am a newbie here to the club, but hope any questions I have I can have answered. This is my first dive into a rotary engine and I am also having my students at the school I teach work on it also. hopefully I can get more pics up of the teardown soon.

NC Thanks

Thanks for the links, I'll plan to use them. I've tried the search, seems like it's pretty good. As for the car, right now I'm rebuilding the engine. Just gonna go slow at it. After that, I'll probably start drifting the car. Just working on a tight budget.

What side of the motor is coolant leaking from? Because there is a heater hose that comes out of the motor right by the oil filter pedestal on the drivers side.

I just got the engine apart and I found the problem. The orings between the int housing and front and rear rotor housings were deteriorated and leaking into the engine. I also found the problem with the low compression on the rear rotor. I found two apex seals were broken. So that's where I'm at right now. Hopefully I can put some pics up tonight of the interior and of my teardown. Thanks for the interest and thanks for the advice.

Sounds like you're already making good progress, I'm interested to see the pics of the teardown and engine damage.

What rebuild kit do you plan on using? Rebuilding at a stock or modified level? Is it an auto or manual.?

Keep us the good work.

NC More pics of the car

Here are some pics of the car during teardown and some pics of the interior. The interior is in great shape in my opinion. The apex seals on the rear rotor were damaged, and have to be replaced.
