My build up, project 10AE
My build up, project 10AE
I was thinking of holding off on this thread for another two months till the car is completed, but its almost there. This is my 10AE
Here are the pictures that were listed from the seller.

The mods at the time were
-40,000 on Rebuild from East Coast Rotary (Big Streetport, 3mm Apex Seals)
-BNR stage 2 or 3 turbo (I forget this was the first thing on my list to replace)
-Apexi exhaust (this had to go, it was an ear ringer, couldn't talk to my wife and scared my dog)
-HKS SSQV BOV
-Greddy 720cc secondaries
-Walbro 255 fuel pump ( supposedly, while dyno tuning the pump failed and I was told it looked like a stock unit )
-Tokico blues
- No AC
- Hallman manual boost controller.
Had trouble running.
It was time to send it to Mazcare for some sweet lovin. Wanted to go with a non hybrid turbo and all the mods to support it.
Upon it entering the shop they found out there was a radiator leak that was shorting out the spark plugs. This was the cause of randomly losing power and dieing.
Here is the GT35r mocked up, radiator and upper intake manifold removed

the intake manifold all cleaned up and ready to be put back on

The massive Greddy 3 row FMIC fitted, finally the TMIC is gone

All the removable emission bullcrap was removed from the harness, the battery was relocated to a storage bin in the car to give the engine bay more room and a cleaner look. At this point the car had almost everything installed and ready for a dyno tune.

The car was tuned by Mr. Steve Kan in his Atlanta tuning session Aug 30 - Sept 1, 2008. Unfortunately the 10AE was plagued with problems. The fuel pumped failed during the tuning session however, the Mazcare guys had a Walbro 255 on hand that they were able to replace my unit with. When he was able to resume tuning the Clutch decided that it wouldn't take more 250+ rwhp at 8-9psi and this is where the tuning stopped. I still don't know the exact number for rwhp, waiting for my father or wife to scan in the graph.
Charlie from Mazcare discussed with me replacing the clutch, the car should have or soon have a stage 2 exedy clutch.

Here are the final pictures I have of the car after the tuning session, It is sitting back at Mazcare awaiting more work. It has been fitted with the AC again and actually works.

At some point in time during this car's life it sustained a little front end damage that is going to be taken care of by Mazcare.

Here is the list of what I have ordered and what will be installed soon. All the RE A parts are being through a company that is importing them from japan for me.
Tien Flex coilovers with EDFC ( ordered and will arrive Thursday )
RE Amemiya Aero Bonnet (ordered)
RE Amemiya Front cowl pro (ordered)
Enkei RPF1s 17x8 front 17x9 (waiting to be installed)
Here are the items that are waiting to be order, should be taken care of in the next month.
RE Amemiya side skirts ( will be ordered 26 Sept 2008 )
2 Sparco Pro2000 seats (black)
Sparco steering wheel, have it narrowed down to 3 choices
Auto Power Roll bar with harness bar
Still debating on what 2 harnesses to choose
My sig has most of the current mods list, As more things happen and I get more pictures I will update the thread.
Thanks for reading everyone

The RPF1s will go on at the end of October, they are silver. I will get pics up as soon as they are mounted.
I still have the BNR and all the other parts. When I'm home on vacation in Feburary I will be selling all the stuff that came off the car.
Thanks for the comments and I will post my numbers as soon as I get the dyno graph or get on the dyno again.
