more $ by parting out or selling whole?

which way could be more profitable? i have a running (sort of) 88 GXL. needs a battery and tires. clutch doesnt hold pressure (if you bleed it it is fine for a day or two) and the engine has a really erratic idle.

i cleaned up the car really well and it looks good from a distance, but you can see the imperfections up close.

so my question is would it be more profitable to part the car out piece by piece, and then try and sell a shell, or try and sell it whole? i bought it for 1200 and fixed a good amount. i think if i could figure out the idle, and get a battery i could get a good 1600+ for it. maybe 2 grand.

all thoughts and opinions welcome.

best bet is to go into the want to buy section and see what people are looking for.
if people need alot of na parts then i would just part it out.
if they arent then sell the car whole.
fyi if you bleed the clutch and it works for a few days your prolly have a bad master/slave cylinder that has a slow leak some where and is letting air in. prolly a cracked reservoir.

i also have some 17s im tring to sell let me kno if your interested

Im throwin out random numbers here-
Say you would get more by parting out- would you rather get $1600 now by selling the whole car or part it out and make $2000 over a 1 year span.

Remember your time costs money too and parting it out may take some time. And you would have to deal with a million people that are going to show up late or not at all and/or low ball you. I would just sell the whole thing and only have to deal with one person.
