well first motor went due to an exhaust valve snapping off its stem and going through a piston, left a steel hershey kiss in my oil pan with chunks of aluminum piston. Second motor spun a bearing (was a high mileage unit pulled from a wrecked but running car). New motor has less than 5k miles on it though, so it should be fine. As for 4g63/4 swapping it, Ill do that when I can find a cheap enough motor/trans setup IF this motor dies.
Sadly though, this winter weather down here claimed what was left of my airdam :/ gotta spend another 300 bucks for a new one in the spring.

Heh, I <3 it too, aside from its quirks its relatively nice. I really need to change the seats out and get the drag link steering setup either replaced up updated to a real steering rack. But it should be fine once I turn up the boost on the big 16G under the hood, just gotta keep it below 300hp or else ill be needing a new trans...

If you happen to be looking for a SQ, try looking at www. starquestclub .com
I know several nice cars have been up for sale recently, and at least 2 4g swapped (or in the process of being swapped) cars, plus several MPI cars up for grabs while the weather is cold and prices are lowish. I was debating finding myself a clean black 87/88 shell to work with, but in the end I figure the 7 will be cheaper to play with.

thats odd, i'm involvedrotary over there. lucky you though, one of the few experienced g54b builders is up in ohio (he also sells lots of oem engine bits). Personally if the deal is good enough I dont mind travelling to get a car, i've gone as far as maryland to pick up and drive back an FC before, and went into VA to pick up my own SQ. Though I have to say if you want a starquest you may have to travel a bit to get a clean one, they are getting harder and harder to find, especially rust free with good frame rails.
