i know of 2 topless 7s with LESS than 5k on the odo.

one was purchased by a friend new in 88 and he died shortly thereafter.

his dad drove it for a few months, but it's been parked/covered in the family garage since 89. they do take it for a ride yearly on his birthday.

the other is a 91 purchased by the husband for his wife and it's an automatic i think, she sold avon or some other cheap toilet water...

it's not pink, but many of these cars were and are owned by little old ladies with blue hair hats...

nasty divorce followed, and he got this car while she got the bmw.

problem is, the 7 SMELLED like her perfume (and still does) so he's kept it parked and as a reminder NOT to remarry.

there will always be one a little nicer, with fewer miles or some unique feature.

what matters is personal history and time or effort the vehicle, so drive it now and make your own history.

so is the car sitting on blocks in reverse ? (cue ferrari segment from ferris bueller)

how come LOW mileage cars like this are always from ny or joysey?

just for fun and to explore the question of "how low is possible"...

i dug through the old paper work from 88.

found the dealer acceptance log for the car as it rolled off the truck.

build date 12/87, usa port arrival 2/88.

2/04/88, the dealer/agent signed for it at 4 on the odo.

my "test drive " the following week, was about a hour on I-5 and when the paperwork was signed the odo was at 52.

and by the time it was home that evening ~250 miles were logged.

my old boss had a tbird supercharged coupe anny edition that had 8xx miles on it.
His brother has a anniversary edition harley with some cow print **** on it that has less then 1 mile, he had it towed to his house from the dealership.

They were nuts, his 65 GTO only had 64,000 miles on it ( used to be his daily when it was new ), corvette pace car with like 8xxx something miles

first off a pace car corvette is worth more then a regular one, it was a 1978 which were not fast machines but where top of the line in its day.

Second how do you know what a 35th anniversary edition thunderbird will be worth in 10 or 20 years?

The GTO speaks for itself, if you dont think original tri-power, one owner, unrestored and pristine condition black/red GTOs are not worth alot then you have been sniffing too much rotary exaust.

My dad still swears that it never came with treadsavers, looking for a car for myself now, I don't know, either an STI or an RX7, I don't like dealing with replacing seals, how much does that cost? I see them all the time, RX7's about to have their engines blown

get a STi, it does not sound like a RX7 is the car for you.

true, I'll be driving it more often nowadays, but not that often. It's not my car, some people do this but what can I say, my dad has 2 other cars and they all have plenty of miles, this one not so much. Damn prius, and audi...

some people use the car as a weekend or pleasure vehicle, why is that so hard to understand?

You drive a car everywhere and it will end up getting fucked up.
If im going to the store why would I take a pleasure car? Im taking the daily.

If its your ONLY car then yes it will have miles and, well, be like most of your cars, or even my car that has 155k miles on it.
But miles in the last 10 years or so? Probably less then 3k

That is a nice clean car. I would love to drive an rx7 like that with such low miles.

Cars are meant to be driven. Go Rack up some miles.
