I am thinking about replacing the body kit I have now only because there is slight dmg in areas around the car it seems. I didn't really notice them till recently, a few major spots were noticible when I picked up the car but other small areas I just noticed. Anways I need to get the car repainted at some point anyways, and figured maybe I can get another kit as well. Post some pics and names for me please on what you guys think, the kit right now seems to be fiberglass and I dunno if its a very good route to go IMO, its splintering in one of the major dmg spots. Here is what the car looks like now for those that haven't seen yet. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

 

Why dont you just get it repaired? Everyone here will just tell you to get stock bumpers lol.

any glass kit you put on there- will eventually end up like yours. Repair what you have and enjoy the car.

 

Yeah, that's a great looking car and I'm usually one of those dorks who says "return it to stock." I wouldn't change your car at all. Another vote for fix what's broken and enjoy.

stick with what you got.. not much options that you can get locally,.. just man up and learn how to fiberglass it, its not hard at all and very satisfying. Less then $50 in materials , hell you can get the materials at lowes/home depot. Spend the money on go fast goodies =)

 

the glass is easy, the bodywork to make it look like it was not repaired- thats the harder part.

Cool thanks for the link, too bad no one lives near me that I know of that could come over and help me do some things. I actually just got some calipers that I want to install. I'm thinking of painting them, either gloss red or gloss black. Anyone down to help me out at some point with the calipers? Anyone have a racing floor jack for lowered vehicles I could use for a day? A case of beer is in it for anyone willing to help!

rx7spiritr... my vert has the same kit on it minus the rear wing and front bumper.. front bumper was smashed when i bought it, and id like to get a replacement. cant find it anywhere!
trust me when i say yours has faired much better than mine and looks reeeeeeal nice. Bad prep job or whatever it was but my gelcoat is cracking everywhere (too thick)- probly the knock off
