How much would you pay...

...for this S4?

sale-rh5ak-1786669598@craigslist.org

I've requested pics. I've paid $500 for a non-running S4 with a great body and $100 for a semi-running S4 with a decent body, no rust on either. My roomate wants an RX7 and since I've got a whole garage full of parts, a fixer-upper would be no biggie. I've also got a parts car to get the front end off of. How much would you offer him, because theres no way in hell it's worth $700 if its a wrecked, blown, stock S4.

I paid $850 for a running NA 86 with 0 rust or damage.
$1,200 for a FLAWLESS 91 TII vert!

$400 tops if the damage is not that significant...

Well, thanks for the opinions. $400 was what I was leaning towards too. I've got enough spare parts to replace whatever is bad. No pics I guess, but I might go look at it tomorrow.

Non-running S4s in good shape go for $500 all day. $400 sounds good to me.

$500 sounds like a decent price for a non running car that has front end damage depending on how bad the damage is.

it would have to be a otherwise really clean car

problem with a car that does not run is you do not know the condition of the brakes, transmission, or rear end, you dont know how tight the suspension still is.

Assume everything is bad.

I would not pay more then $200 for that car unless it was otherwise in superb condition

Well I guess there's no reason to low ball the guy, just because we may think he is asking too much doesn't mean he gives two ***** & is going to drop the price. He may budge a little on the price, but if not move on & find another 7 closer to what you want, in the condition you want. Rob made some really good ponits though, on not being able to judge the condition of other aspects of the car.
