The term "MODERNIZED" means to make them look abit more uptodate.

That is called "modified"!

I have mixed feelings about this mod but if they were splitting in the first place. Kudos to putting some effort into making them look better. I'm re-sealing and wet sanding my S5 tail lights this Wednesday. Using the diffusers tho.

anyone know the best method of wet sanding tail lights? I have never attempted it before or even wet sanded for that matter. lol.

I have mixed feeling about removing the refractors. I'm no about to take the time to do it to mine, unless i'm doing the LED ring style. Those do give me a boner.

ring style is the ****. I will make a set myself soon and do a write up on it.

As far as wetsanding simply go to Napa and get their kit. It has a pad with a drill attachment and u keep it wet and polish away. The **** is awesome.

its quite obvious there is no way to classify the lights because there was never a "OFFICIAL" thread posted.

once a official thread has been posted it is the law of the land.

Going to spray tint them in the next week or two and will add that to this thread.
Has anyone tried installing a resistor in series with the "modernized" tails to dim the lights a bit. If so what resistance did you use?
Thanks

I like your antenna... And the crack in your passenger speaker cover looks similar to the state of Georgia. Nice directions though.

That's nice if you want to change your tail lights around, but you didn't "modernize" them. You DE-MODERNIZED them. Going for the 1920's look?

My last car was "modernized" when I got it lol, wasn't a real fan of em, really really bright, and stock S5 tails look much better IMO.

What? There was definitely an official thread posted... Where do you think the "official" name came from? Welcome to early 2005 when I made this thread:

welcome to sarcasm 2009, it was a joke, man do we have to spell everything out around here?

your thread was also not labeled OFFICIAL, which as we all know is the only way to become law.

once again that is a joke incase you decide to dig this up another month from now and reply, lol

Ha, I didn't dig this up. It was halfway down the first page. Either way, you said there was no way to classify the lights--which isn't true. And obviously the only reason I care is because I came up with it.
