Hood liner question
Repainting my car and am painting the underside of the hood black (car is red 88 SE NA). My hood liner is in pretty bad shape. It was victim of a PD fire. I was able to put it out pretty quick, but the coating on the liner is burned off most of it. (pic attached).
I've seen much debate on whether it's needed, so don't want to get that started again. I've decided to either find a way to re-coat it with something, or leave it off. Anyone ever tried to "repair" a hoodliner by spraying something over it? I thought about a light coating of bedliner or something, but need to check the temp rating of the material.
Thoughts??
