The 626 lip in the picture I posted had one hole modified. It will bolt up to stock. Jetta mk3 lips work but I bet they'll need some modification. A s-10 lip would make the car a street sweeper.

my homemade lip

Well, this one is a little more labor intensive, but i made this in my garage with some fiberglass stuff from wal-mart, some styrofoam from hobby lobby, and aluminum foil and stuff... sorry i don't have any pictures at the moment but you can kind of see it in this video.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-P3kBeFewAg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-P3kBeFewAg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

It's flexible enough not to crack. I scrape it leaving my driveway all the time, and it's handled it just fine.

I had to drill 10+ of my own holes in the 626 lip for mine to line up with the stock mounting position. I don't know how you only had to modify 1 hole.

Thats the best looking lip I've ever seen for the s4.

these garden edgers and garage door guards look pretty much just like that, at least go for a lip from another car and make it work

Well, at first. Then finished product had 3 holes modified two near the brake ducting and one in the middle.

I agree with rob. A lip from a different car is Ok but these damn garden lips... it belongs in your yard not on your car.

Junkyard. If you tell them its a lip from a front bumper, its $8. If its "miscellaneous trim" its $6.

Yeah I was talking about the sides too. The stock lip doesn't extend all the way to the wheel well on the sides, just like the 626 lip.

These pics were in the link you posted & I swear that these lips looks like they were made out of 3" black cove base. I say this because I installed flooring for 4 years & that's what it appears to be. I would not have used the two 4' section though, he should have got a roll & cut the length he needed. Or at the split he could have cut the edge at a 45 & reverse cut the other side so the over lapped & used adhesive to bond hiding the joint.

This is Johnsonite Cove base / wall base
