Im thinking the S4 wont be as highly detailed as I think it might be a standard car.. the developers probably didnt have the resources to do every car in the game so only a select few make the cut.

 

s4 should have been top priority

 

GT4 had a S4 T2, I'm sure GT5 will as well. Those photos look so real!

Its a standard game model so they did not detail it. They dont even allow you to take stationary pictures or get real close to it lol

WTF?! What have they been doing for the last 5 years?! That model looks horrendous. It would be "acceptable" on a PS2 but we're years beyond that.

They even got the bottom of the bumpers wrong. It doesn't flare out in the front or back. Looks like they copied the s5's rear bumper. Ridiculous. They didn't even bother putting in the indentation in the middle of the s4 molding.

At least the s5 looks phenomenal.

 

Yeah we suspect alot of the cars are GT4 carry overs.. can't expect them to detail every car. S4 probably not that desirable to them or the mass world. Only the 88 supra got the high detail treatment, they left the late model 93+ out of luck just to have the low quality model.

The s5 is my fav top speed highway car right now, i have it doing 187mph with the adjustible 6speed.. very fun online because kids dont expect it hahah. I may build up the S4 just to be even more unexpected, just wish i could change the wheels on it.

 

They left the Mk IV Supra with crap graphics? And yes, I do expect them to detail every car. Forza did.

 

Just another reason why Gran Turismo has fallen to Forza. Forza details every car they have. Copying 750+ cars from an inferior game without updating the details is just rediculous. I'm glad I didn't spend the rediculous amount of money on a PS3.

 

what? forza cant touch GT5 no way. Go play GT5, get a good steering wheel, Logitech G25/G27 probably the best bang for the buck wheel out there, turn off traction controls and all the assists. Xbox360 cant support a good steering wheel.

But there is better than both games, PC sims.

 

I dont understand why they did not make the S4 a high quality model. all they had to do was change a few hues for paint, the front and rear bumpers and the interior...

 

Both FDs *early and late* got the high end treatment.. You buy them at the dealership, but If you buy a used FD in the used car lot, then it will be low res.

 

As much as we in the 2nd gen section of RX7club like the s4 I doubt it is highly popular with the general public who buys the game or even the developers. From what I understand going detailed on a car model was a huge undertaking.

 

Fanatec makes great wheels for the 360. Driving in the game is only half of it. I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars to race cars that look like complete ****. After all the delays of this game, it really is dissapointing.

 

get real people, the world doesnt care about FCs. just be happy that a) theres more than one, and 2) one of them got the high quality treatment.
if this was a 240 forum it would be "why isnt there a premium seafoam 2 tone coupe?" lol

Well we all know the game isnt perfect, but at least we are past the PS2 stage where updating the game isnt possible. they may offer download packs for higher quality models or different versions. Maybe a 500mb update including premium packages for 250 cars or something...it did take a long time to come out but think of how many years it will be out there to be played and updated.

 

 

If they charge money for such a DLC, I swear I'll never buy a GT game again.

Wow, nice... The first game was actually good... It seems like the FC is gaining popularity in the video game world. Too bad you can't do engine swaps in GT5 though...
