PA Good deal or no?

I found a 1986 2nd gen on craigslist for 800. its gray and has 114000 miles. the guy had the car running and it ran out of gas and would not start up after he put new gas in it. would this be caused by the fuel filter or would it be some other problem? and the last time it ran was august. so is it a good buy or no?

My guess would be the fuel pump sucked up some garbage from the bottom of the tank (from running out of fuel), and needs to be replaced. I'd only pay $500 for a non-running FC, but that's me here in CA.

Depends on how everything else on the car is, like suspension, body exhaust etc.
Make sure that is all right and go from there with the prices.
I wouldn't fork up too much cash for a non-running FC, Just my opinion
