First photos with this camera...

Well, first photos of a car that is, since I've upgraded to my Canon 30D. Excuse the terrible pics though, I was driving around randomly and stopped to take a few quick shots. The fact that my car is filthy, it was raining and really cold and I didn't bring any proper lighting equipment with me is why I'm not a huge fan of these shots, but I don't really have any pics of my new FC, so here they are!

Good job for your first shots ... but you need to adjust the exposure and f stop on those pictures. maybe a higher iso? Don't use the 30d as a point and shoot ... you shld play around with it until you find settings that are appropriate for the lighting situation.

For example this was taken much in the same atmosphere as you were in .. and you can notice how the highlights and midtones were brought out, while maintaining a sharp picture.

All of the shots were shot in RAW and a custom colour temp white balance set during PP because of the horrible sodium vapour lighting. Apart from the fact that all of the lighting was from that one wall, I don't like blowing out highlights.

Great 7 (I love the headlight/marker/fog color combos) and good choice in Camera. I have a 20D and love it to death.

(did you do somehting to yellow your rear tail turn signals? mine are orange, or is that some JDM thing or a trick of the camera?)

My headlights and fogs are stock, well, the fogs look like they have a more yellow tint which is cool but yeah, stock, same with the tails. Just the lighting that changed the tails, and as for the headlights and fogs, it was a little white balance correction in post processing.
