Will the fd seat rails fit into an fc without modification? Anyone put fd seats in an fc?
I'm getting my original fc driver seat repaired but was thinking too about fd seats.

 

i'm sure someone with more exp will chime in here, but i know that main issue with seats in fc's is the unusual rail for the p/s. you might be able to put fc rails onto fd seats though. i'm sure the search feature would give you some results too

 

they will need modification to fit unfortunatly they dont bolt right up.

 

There is a thread in the interior section that everyone have contributed heavily on what seats will fit/not fit for the FC.

 

Driver side can be done relatively easily, passenger side, not so much.
Pull your stock passenger seat and observe the asymmetric mounting points on the chassis and the changes to the seat frame to conform.

BTW, I never thought the FD seats were all that comfortable or special looking.

 

The leather seats in my fd are really comfortable to me. But everyones different when it comes to comfort.
My first choice though is using the stock seats in the 89. I have someone on the forum helping me repair my driver seat bolster so I should be fine. I had seen some really sweet seats from an efini for sale but they want way too much and if they need modification to fit, I'm now not thinking about it so much.
