I bought my FC just 3 short months after I caught my fiance cheating on me. (We had been living together for four years btw)

I think it's easy to say, I bought my car so I could have a fresh start. 3.5 years later, best thing that happened is me kickin her *** on the curb, otherwise I probably wouldn't own my car, and woulda been just satisfied with my fwd vtec yo!

On a side note: I've had three girlfriends and a couple other flingy thingys, and in every case except one, they could care less about my car. One girl loved my car! She had just turned 18 tho, and the fact I owned a house is what really pulled her in. She was way too clingy and had to give her the boot, lol.

Now that I think about it, there' was (...I saw was because I hope its over) a rash of "my girl left me, and she rode in/help work on/ picked the color for.... my FC, so now I have to part out/ sell my car"-*** emo bullshit floating around here the past few months. I swear I ran into 5 people within a 2 month span I either bought parts from or met at a meet that were singing that tired-*** song. diaf.

Look; what makes a lasting relationship is not only that two people have mutual interests, but that they also have interests independent of the other person, elsewise clingy-ness occurs and that sucks no matter which side you're on. For most car guys, this is it. If the Mrs. wants to come help, awesome, if not, **** is still gettin done.

Which leads me to my next point: GIRLS DO NOT WANT TO BE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE! (if you are married, I'm not talking you, I said girls, not women) The key to getting girls is to treat them with a certain disregard, the key to keeping them is making them believe that you no longer do. Treat every girl you meet like you have a gf hotter than she is, and her opinion is of little consequence....

When i bought my Rx7 i was in a relationship at the time for nearly 3yrs. I have always been into cars as the family tradition and when i got with her she knew this and loved my DD. Well i was joking around on here (rx7club) and seen a vert sorta close for sale. My buddy sitting next to me said oh thats a convertible, shes sitting on the other side of me OMG i didnt know they had them ect ect. needless to say we came to a agreement, the only way i get it is if we take his 300zx to pick it up and, my friend pays half the gas bill lol. He was down. So i lay down in the trunk of the 91ztt for 31/2 hours. We get there and i didnt really want it. wasnt what i was looking for. She starts balling her eyes out like the worlds going to end. I end up giving in and $4500 later were on the road. Now she is gone and has been for 2yrs, by far the best thing that has happend to me. I love my car and have gone so in depth with her. The girl i have now, her faimly is into cars so she knows the whole idea already. She loves watching me work on my car loves taking pictures of progress and she keeps me on track with it. Sometimes she makes me go out there and get something done and she checks the progress. I like it this way, this is the first relationship i EVER been in were i NEVER argued, never wante to argue, never had to argue, everything just flows. She has so much respect for what i love and how/were i like to spend my time. Aside from that this year will be her first time ever trying to snowboard

 

Well, this thread got me through christmas and new years... alone.
I'm going to start my project thread and hopefully have the s5 running within a few weeks.
I'm also working out and running again.
Good thing about being in a small town, this girl will see me again.
When she does she will regret her decision. haha.

I had a mr2 as a dd at the time
Only reason I sold it was cuz of my girl
Mr2 ( wrecked , fixed , put in shop for modded engine and kit and paint )
Mr2 stolen crushed and now 9.5 k gone

Though last night I asked the hottest girl in town out on a date, I wasn't awkward or anything.

my FC was never a burden for me and my girlfriends.
although,
only a few actually liked my car, after growing into it, getting used to the sound, smell and ect.

most of them didnt really come through.
