I hope they give it a good name at least, sorry but I'm kinda tired off the FD's getting all the attention especially when I have a FC that can spank many FD's. Oh and whats wrong with a FB? (my first car was a FB. I still have it and it has almost 300k on it and still has perfect compression with no problems anywhere damn fast for a NA too)

 

This will increase the popularity of the FC.

This means more people are going to try to pick up turbo FCs. The turbo FC supply is relatively low so prices of NAs will go up.

This will drive up the price of base models (much like the 6K hatchbacks back in the day).

Everyone will be looking for turbo parts, TIDs, FMICs, etc., etc. Demand will be ridiculously high and next thing you know we're getting cheap, decent quality parts.

honestly given the choice id rock the FC for life....... newer sports cars are garbage. you dont need a ******* cupholder that makes your drinks cold, or lights that turn with your car.

aftermarket parts may be cheeper, but oem parts and parts car will be more rare.

ls1 swaps more frequent, and god forbid should someone swap a v-tech.

 

It's better. The more LS swaps the more rotaries lying around (assuming these guys don't destroy decent motors). As far as Vtec, it's been done.

Like I said, the more 7's we lose the better. Decrease supply as demand increases. It's perfect. $10K GTUs will be a bargain.

I didn't think about this but my wife also brings up a good point. This might bring more attention to the 7's (oftentimes negative). More and more FCs are being stolen all over and i don't think the increase in popularity will help.

I'm glad I got my FC when I did, before the price spikes up. I'm all for exposure of the car, but not this. Granted I'll still go see it and probably enjoy it but there are gonna be so many n00bs coming to the forum being like "I WANA AN FC SO BAD! LYK IT WAS IN F&F4 IM SO KEWL"...

At least it's still a rotary. Any word on who's car/who will be driving it?

realistically speaking, it probably won't do **** for FCs, because it takes too much work to put one together, and nobody knows what the car is

nobody remembers the 240sx that was in the first fast and furious which was out before those cars were really popular. it really only brought attention to the supra. few ppl outside of rx7 fans even realized the red car was an rx7. alot of people thought it was a viper (even with the little cg engine montage). likewise, alot of retards thought the s15 in tokyo drift was a variant of a skyline. in other words, anyone who knows the FC already decided they don't want one, already wants one, or they already got one. :P

far easier to walk up to mitsubishi and have your parents buy you an evo.

i have seen pictures of that car, it's really clean.

like people were saying though about prices... look what happened with the AE86 corolla, used to be dirt cheap, then along came drifting and now they fetch a premium! i honestly hope that the price doesn't go up, even if it makes my car easier to sell and for more, one thing i like about the FC community is that a lot of people enjoy multiple FCs which for most people IS financially feasible. that could easily turn into a thing of the past.

 

corollas were selling for $600-$1K 6/7 years ago and now thy're going for at least $3K.

It sucks but that's how the world goes round.

 

$10 says that the purple FC will be driven by a female or gay character. Thats the way its been with pink\purple colored cars in the last few movies.





Amazingly FF3 didn't have anything like that unless you count the 2 girls in the purple car that the Veilside FD did donuts around.

If they continue to follow this trend then you guys can rest assured that the character that drives the FC will not have the main role and the car will not get the main spotlight.

 

That purple car was a skyline that the veilside fd did donuts around in FF3, but to me it looked blue.

Anyway, you guys, seriously, quit saying that you guys should raise the prices on the FC's, at least don't say it until i have one...
