hey guys, i just got an exhaust cutout from QTP and have no idea where to mount the switch.. anyone wanna post some pictures of your set up?

 

you could always mount it in one of the switch panels on the centre console (where the mirror controls and the foglight switch are)

most of the time there is an unused panel you can pop out, and then you just put the switch in there and then pop it back in. and that way you have a fairly clean install.. choose your switch accordingly, run wire as needed =D.



this is what i mean. in one of those 2 rectangle holes... hopefully you still have the blank panels that go in there.

 

wow brilliant.. didn't even think of that. anyone got a picture of how their cut out is welded onto the exhaust? i dont want to start a fire on the underbody

 

Just cut a section out and tack it under the car. After everything is perfectly lined up pull the downpipe and weld it off the car (so no fire worries and cleaner welds etc), then bolt it back up.

my friend sureshot(name on the board) did this to his s5 t2. look up his name and find his thread about it
