don't park on the street....

Found that out the hard way. Drunk neighbor backed out of his driveway right into my driver's side door.

The seven. Poor seven

The truck that hit it. Yes it did actually hit something.

Insurance will be taking care of this. Got a good body shop lined up so hopefully it will all be good. Sucks that this is my only car.

Your adjuster might just write up a new door, by the looks of the damage..I don't think theres enough structural damage to get a new paintjob. but then again thats what i gather from the photos, it could be a different story.

It's going on the other guys' insurance so why should it matter if insurance covers it? It shouldn't affect the OP's record. Try and find a black s4 door in good shape and slap it on. If you collect the insurance check from the other guys' company you should get more than what you need if you DIY.

with my old 240sx, was involved in a hit and run, they hit my rear panel.. i had liability, told my insurance, they did nothing... so i eventually did the repairs myself, later down the road i did a carfax and notice that incident in my cars record as an acident...

another time my mom backed into the door.. its my mom so im not gonna go crazy. found a same color door at the junk yard and swapped it.

Somebody hit my 13 hatch at the Walmart lot while I was inside shopping a few years back. It was dark and rainy so I didn't notice until I got home and in the garage. Then I was like what the??? I thought the light was playing tricks on my eyes. The rear passenger quarter was caved in, paint chipped, gas door dangling, rear bumper dimpled, taillight chipped, and rear quarter glass looked like it was about to pop out from the panel being pushed in.

Insurance covered it after my deductible was payed. $1,800 in damage! Didn't total it out because it was in really good shape otherwise. Still pissed me off, although I got a complete new paint job
