Does anyone have an S4 cargo cover?
So I went down the rabbit hole of Finish Line dealer parts that were available, and past the radio, block heater, and ski rack, I came across a picture of an S4 cargo/tonneau cover. However, it's only ever viewed from a closed position, so I have no idea what the perches look like (compared to the S5). If anyone has any knowledge, or pictures for this, I'd love to see them. This is mostly out of curiosity, but I love the idea of a factory cargo cover for the S4 iteration. I might even make one for my '88 GTU if I convince myself to put in the effort.

Oh cool, the mounts look slightly different from what I'm used to (S5). Does your car have a perch anywhere towards the rear, where the cover would rest? Assuming those pillar tops are original to the car.
My ‘87 GXL is all original (98%). I would have purchased the cargo cover (Tonneau) from the dealer back when I first bought the car.
From what I remember the cover just rested on the back edge of the hatch near where the hatch latches, nothing added. Then there were two cords on either side of the cover that tied to each hatch strut, so when the hatch was opened the cover would come up, pivoting on the two brackets, shown in the photos.
I remember in the end not liking the cover, as it was solid, so if you put something too high or large in the trunk, when you closed the hatch, the cover would hit the cargo and then pop out of theTbrackets. It limited what I could put in the back. the cover is long gone.
