So i just picked up a new rebuilt motor for 300. only bad thing is that it was rebuilt 5 years ago and wasnt really ever driven. had about 30 miles on a fresh rebuild. anyways. i got it with my fingers crossed and hopes high, put it in my car and fired her up........and............ smoke smoke zoom zoom. after about 5 minutes the smoke cleared and all was well. strated up on the first key turn. all i really had to do was swap a few peripherals on the new motor and shes good to go.. its kinda weird though. i have a rotary that doesnt smoke...at all. anyways. let me know what you guys think.
ok. now.... remember to change the oil very frequently. the first 20 miles you need an oil change. then 500 miles, and another 500 miles and your good to go with normal oil changes.

definately not going to beat on her for awhile. after sitting for 5 years i think it needs at least a good 1500 miles of gentle driving. i also had to pull the water pump from my old motor and im getting the intake resealed as i have a massive vaccume leak coming from it. onces thats done im changing the oil agian. let me know if there are any other precautions i sould take so this motor lasts me
