picked up a 91 na in midst of (jdm) tll swap. The tll from jdm has no compression in front rotor. I tore it down and looks as though the front housing is trashed, and front side housing has a slight grove in it. Can I use a housing and side housing from the original s5 na, or can I have the side housing resurfaced or something. Any place in houston to get used housings if not. I'm not one to half *** something but at this point I'm outta money and just like to get the car functional. Thanks for any advice.

 

you can , but you have to port the coolant hole above the exhaust port so water can go through the intake manifold.

run both na housings, dont mix na and turbo housings or the timming will be off

 

I believe the spark plug location is the same on the S5 n/a and the S5 T2, is just the s4 n/a that the timing would be off.

 

Thanks for the advice, anybody know if front side housing is also interchangable or can they be resurfaced. It has a groove that I can feel with my finger nail. Are there any shops in Houston that specialize in rotary engines
