Build your own Custom Re-Amemiya 400g weighted shift ****, fits s4 also.

I posted this over in my build thread, but figured I'd post this up encase a larger audience was interested in a shift **** that will fit s4 or s5's.

I put together a custom Re-Amemiya shift ****, since I didnt want to spend around ~120-130 it would have costed from japan. The heavy shift **** feels great, and shifting is alot better.

Heres the original for comparison.
RE Amemiya - Carbon Shift **** - 400g - Nengun Performance

The base **** that uses (Note: base **** is universal and fits all cars, the genuine RE **** says fits only s5+, fd,rx8 etc, so no idea if it is hard threaded.)
Razo RA66 Black/Dark Chrome 400 Grams Carbon Manual Shift **** : Amazon.com : Automotive Razo RA66 Black/Dark Chrome 400 Grams Carbon Manual Shift **** : Amazon.com : Automotive

Then a custom resin badge from aus land, size 24mm. (Razo badge is around 24.5mm I rounded down to 24mm and it fits near perfect, with about zero play, if you wanted to play it safe you could go around 23.5mm)

End results:

Build your own Custom Re-Amemiya 400g weighted shift knob, fits s4 also.-koutc6h.jpg

Install is straight forward, just follow the razo directions. Has adapter size to fit s4 also, for all the s4 guys like me that have problems trying to find cool shift *****.

very, very nice. Quick question, do you noticed the difference with a lighter/heaver ****? I hadn't really considered it.

Yeah the heavier **** is easier to get into gear than the stock ****, the weight helps "throw" it in.

In the car pictured it is the stock Shifter. The razo **** has 3 different height settings.
