Been absent from the Rx7 world for a while, even though I've had my FC parked in my garage for two years. I've finally decided to get it back to fighting shape and hopefully drive it by the start of good weather.
It's a 1988 GTU that I've owned twice... Bought it in OKC in 2013, after not having an Rx7 since 2001 (S5 GTU, totalled in sacramento). I traded the S4 GTU for a friend's E36 M3 six years ago, then bought it back two years later. I still have the M3. The motor is stock internally (I've never opened it up).
Currently working on finishing up the Emissions delete (partially done by interim owner), fuel system refresh, and clutch replacement, along with some other regular maintenance items.
I found a set of original 88 GTU seats (Tii seats) that I will reupholster in black to match the interior. I changed the interior color in 2014, but the seats were too far gone (water damage, critters, tears, rust,, etc). The dash and all the interior plastics were painted using SEM Landau Black, in 2014, and still looks new. The dash and carpet were donated by a S5 GXL.
