Asianbob's FC build

Well here is the build. I arrived here in Okinawa on Aug. 18th, 2010. After a little while of getting settled in I started searching for a car. I looked at quite a few R32 GTR's, Silvias, FD's, and Chasers. After a week of looking the I noticed that all the cars we were looking for were everywhere around here, but there was one car that I haven't really noticed...The FC3S. So I started the hunt for an FC. I finally found one in pretty good condition so I picked it up. It was bought on Sep. 1, 2010. The car was white and had a few mods on it here and there. Here is the list of mods that were on the car when I bought it.

-Kenwood Head Unit
-Kenwood Rear Speakers
-Cyberstork gauge cluster
-Cusco Lower Frame Brace
-HKS SMF Air Filter
-SS Brake lines front only
-Some Blown Cusco Coilovers
-Cusco Rear Strut Bar
-Front Strut Bar
-Fujitsubo Exhaust
-Ganador CF look mirrors
-Aero Front Bumper
-RE Amemiya Rear Spats
-RE Amemiya Spoiler
-Some White Bent Enkei Circlar GTA's in 17's

Then there was also a little damage here and there, and here's the list of that

-Cracked bondo on the passenger door
-Driver side rear spat was cracked and scraped to hell
-Cracked front aero

And here are some pics of the car when i first got it

Since the wheels were so bent out of shape and the tires were bald like no other I decided I might as well buy some new wheels and tires so I ordered a set of Enkei RPF1's 17x9 +22 front and 17x10 +18 rear along with Advan AD08 tires 235/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear.

I then needed some coilovers since the Cusco's were blown so I picked up a set of JIC coilovers and on the same day picked up a KSP air diversion panel

Being it's a rotory I figured I'd buy some safety things like gauges, so I picked up some Defi's with the controller, oil sandwich plate, and an HKS Type-1 turbo timer

Getting in and out became a pain in the *** so a quick release was in store to ease the process, so I bought a Works Bell Rapfix II quick release and luckily my car already had a Works Bell hub

After all of that I decided that it was time to fix the damage on the body, get some fender pulling done, and change the color to something with a little more pop

Love the paint color. Suprised you didn't paint the mirrors and throw them back on. What are plans for the motor?

I'm trying to get back to Japan myself. Should find out in the next couple of weeks if I get Korea or not and and hopefully the follow on that I want.

Thanks everyone. You may not like the purple but to each his/her own and it's not your everyday color which is why i went with it. the harnesses are bolted to eye bolts, soon to be replaced with takata harnesses. The wing is by ERC not Erebuni, but it is the same style. I bought it off of a friend for 80 bucks. Here is the link to ERC's website.

http://www.erc-rotary.com/parts/parts-fc3s.htm

The site is in Japanese just so you know.

As for the motor unfortunately I'm saying bye-bye to the rotary...I know STUPID and it's not an rx-7 anymore blah blah blah. It still runs just fine FYI but I'm going the 1JZ route. No one here does swaps on FC's or FD's here. Actually I've only seen 6 FC's since I've been here. But none the less a 1JZ will be done. I already have the motor and picked up a R154 tranny for 500 bucks. It would have been done already but for personal reasons the build stopped for awhile. (I'm going through a divorce). Anyways I just recently started getting back into the project so it should be done pretty soon. Right now I'm still driving it with the 13B still in it. Whenever I have time probably next weekend I'll start tearing it down.
