Has anyone found a rattlecan paint that could be found at a local store that looks remotely close to our beloved arctic silver? My sunroof clear coat is fading and it a little bit of rust is forming, time to give it a respray. I wanna avoid spending $25 a can for actual J5 paint

In my experience, no.
There are not any off the shelf cheapo duplicolor nonsense or similar that will match anywhere near whats on your car.
25 bucks a can, really ? That's a small price to pay for reasonable quality automotive basecoat compressed into a quality aerosol can.. likely a SEM product filled with Nason or PPG paint.
It still won't match perfectly as you're laying fresh color and clear down next to faded worn out paint.. but it will be as close as you can get without actual color matching tinted out to more closely match the worn paint around it. Depending on the paint store, you could even have them mix it in a single stage form so that clearing over it would not be necessary as the clear would be essentially mixed in and settle in the top of the coat as it cures.
Otherwise you would need to invest in a 30 dollar can of decent aerosol clearcoat..
Paint is not cheap.. when will people realize this...? We're currently using Glasurit 90 at my shop, recently switching from PPG Aquabase...cost on some of the tints, hardeners, reducers, binders, clears, etc would make your head spin!

^I believe the reason people think paint should be cheap is the fact that you can buy rattlecans for pennies on the dollar.
That being said, I went to my local paint supply store and picked up custom mixed aerosols (filled with Nason) for ~$20.00 a piece. Would I use this for the outside of my car? No. However, it did work very well on my engine bay after shaving it. I can post a picture later as neither the app or website are playing nicely with my phone.

The custom fill SEM cans with Nason or PPG are fine for use on something like the sunroof panel, tho I would recommend a good clear. That being said, my driver side door and quarter was sprayed with a SEM custom fill PPG single stage and have held up just fine for two years now.
