With a zero feedback score, that 22,000 is going to buy a couple weeks worth of crack if it sells.

Which it never will.

We will see it at 10k in a few months.

But it's got 205/60V Steel Belted Radial Tires and 15 inch High Performance Alloy Wheels doesn't that justify the price :P

Wasn't that guy on here? I seem to remember a thread about a really clean S4 vert with insanely low miles.

It's a nice car, but sheesh, $22K? More like... 5K?

That one is close by, I should take a look.
Who knows, maybe there is a gold bar in the storage bin he hasn't been able to remove.

i think those are pretty nice but i just cant imagine our cars having any collector value at this moment that justifies those prices.

I spoke with the seller on ebay, just to get his take on it.

------------------------
Hi I was looking at your rx7 and it looks really nice, in perfect condition.
However I was curious about the price.
Naturally it seems a little high to me, is there something special about the car that would warrant such a price tag?
Thanks, and once again, very beautiful car.
Jerry
----------------------------------
His response:

Dear Jerry:

Thank you for the kind message.

I did not know what price to ask for the car. My research indicated that several good condition RX7 Conv with close to 100,000 miles were priced close to $10,000.
So, I concluded that I would start in the $20,000 range. I am sure that any one restoring a RX7 Conv would spend a lot of money to get it to the condition this car is in.

This car is beautiful and in perfect condition. Very few of them were manufactured. I hate to sell it, but I am having trouble with my legs and getting into and out of the car is becoming very difficult.

Make an offer.

You can call me on my cell phone XXX-XXX-XXX if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Bill S
----------------------------

I thought it would be nice if his voice was heard in this thread too, just so it's not as once sided.

I personally can't hate the guy for going big. What if someone decides they absolutely must have the car and they buy it for 20k? He'll be laughing to the bank and we'll be wishing we had the idea, lol.
If it doesn't sell he can lower the price.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

--------edit-----------

Though he is technically breaking ebay code of conduct by trying to organize sale outside of ebay once the item has been listed.

I'll give the ads some credit... both cars look extremely nice. It is also possible that one day an FC in such good condition as these cars may be worth 15k-20k, but not now, and not any time soon.
