21st Birthday (SNOW filled drive in the MTNS)!

Hey guys,

Today is my 21st birthday and I woke up super early to get the most out of my day. First thing, my boss called me @ 6:45am to harass me for taking the day off and getting my 8 hours for "birthday pay"! I was already up. lol. But decided to gas up and grab a RedBull. I made 3 CD's that were perfect for a full day of driving.

1. HI-NRG and Italo-Disco Mix
2. Dubstep All-stars Vol. Mixes
3. Underground Trance and Techno

First off... I made my way up the usual run... It was so nice out! Weather was perfect and I was the only one on the mountain.

Then it was off towards the picture-esque lake that I always visit when I'm in this area.

one of my favorite mountains to hike! Whiteside Mountain.

another ridge shot @ 200mm

Finally some fluffy stuff! Had to take a restroom break! lol.

Bridal Veil falls

Happy Birthday!
And great pics as always, I especially like the first pic and the one on the snowy road with the headlights up,... and the last two pics too, they get me in christmas mood

But I'd never drive my fc in the snow, can be really dangerous when you have to brake suddenly or something, especially on summer tires.

Happy birthday! Beautiful pictures. I'm a little jealous. It hasn't snowed yet where I live, but I can't wait for it: perfect weather for hooning in my Scooby!

How bad is the salt in your neck of the woods? I plan on keeping my FC operational through at least part of the winter, so I can test my repairs and mods. I've driven RWD cars in the snow before- my first car was an S13. I'm more worried about the ocean's worth of salt and sand the state's DPWs dump on the roads eating away at my FC's undercarraige. I'm fresh out of used motor oil to slather the undersides with.

Awesome pics and happy birthday man. How did your fc handle when it started getting dusty on the mountain roads?

That was like a day in the life of what a T2 should do when living in the mountains.

Seriously that was cool it was like a documented day of just BALLIN scenes and a good drive AWSOME

Its no Subaru but its not that bad. I've done it several times before so nothing crazy. I just got into a rhythm and stayed in 2nd and 3rd moving pretty good around turns and just kept my momentum up for the hills. I left PLENTY of room for error b/c the car is my baby.

I love the pure concentration it takes to drive in the snow and ice. I don't go out expecting to off road or anything but driving the roads is pretty reasonable for the weather here. I doubt I would be able to get back to those places again tomorrow b/c they are expecting around 1ft or so right now.

Thanks again! Woot! And yeah, maybe it'll be another crazy year and we'll get some random snow storm in February like earlier this year. haha.

I'd kill to travel to Colorado and their big snows. To ski and to take pictures. Rent a Jeep or something. haha.
