I had the front TII lip painted to match and the rear bumper repainted otherwise it is the original paint. It has 130,000 miles on the body and 2000 miles on the engine.

Thanks, a lot of work and TLC pays off. I have had the car since 1995 when it had 67,000 miles on it. I sold it to a friend in 99 and he had it for 7 years and put 25,000 miles on it. Sat in his garage most of the time.

Swapping in the TII engine and drive train is the best mod I have done. Car is so much more fun to drive.

Also, you might want to look into S5 TII skirts since you already got the front lip(you lucky bastard).

It took me about a month to find all of the drive train parts I thought were in the best condition and another month to complete the swap. I bought a USDM rebuilt, street ported motor from Kevin Landers at Rotary Resurrection.

As for the S5 side skirts. I have a set in perfect condition. I just need to get them painted to match. I also am considering the corksport headlight duct as well. Not completely sold on that look though.

Changing the Wheels to 17x8 up front and 17x9s in the back and lowering springs really set the car off from other verts.

I took the wipers off when the switch failed. I rebuilt the switch recently with a new relay but liked the look without wipers. The car is only driven in good weather, not my DD. If I get caught out in the rain I have a liberal amount of rain-x on the windshield.

I have gotten stuck in the rain coming back from car shows so it can happen, or even a damp night when I was parked at a meet and the car got condensation on it.

Might want to put your wipers in the trunk and carry a wrench to put them on "just in case", rainx dont work too well when you are stuck in traffic

Good idea, and your right rain-x is useless sitting still.

Thanks
