You guys know that the Jdm fogs are clear ,just like ours. There is just a yellow sleeve like condom that is inside the size of the bulb that the bulb slips into. None the less your car came along very nice .I scored an s4 vert from the original owner with 68k miles for 200 Bux in august and did the s5 conversion and we have twins lol cept I got a Jdm tan top and black n tan interior.

No actually I'm 100% right every fc I have ever torn down in Japan infini or gtx or Gt limited or whatever has the yellow insert. Now there are people in Japan that take the insert out to put hyperwhite piaa bulbs. I've seen that a bunch of times.

Well I picked up a 87 Turbo II today with a blown engine with quite a bit of aftermarket parts..... Absolutely no rust, paint is good, but has a dent, but all the body panels line up great. Just needs a shortblock, and I have one sitting in my other FC...

The original plan was to part out this turbo II, keep most of the aftermarket things and turbo swap the vert. But this turbo II is cleeeean underneath.

So something has to go since I don't have the budget for both. If I keep the turbo II, I'll have to sell the vert, and if I turbo swap the vert, I'll have to part the turbo II. So idk I have to make up my mind...

Well i been in this EXACT same situation probably half a dozen times. My vert needed ALOT of work to get it were i wanted it. SO.....I believe thats what this whole games all about right? I picked up at T2, 54K Orig miles, black, MINT. Thought about kepping it... debating on it, then said **** it i came this far with the vert why turn back. I have $$$ invested into it, tons of time, alot of centamental value. So i cut the floor panes out of the T2, cut the rockers, cut the corner caps under the fenders, and DID WORK!. **** em theres tons of T2's not many nice looking verts, there are not 10 good looking verts on this world wide forum. I say T2 swapp the vert, put the floor panes out of the T2 in your car and roll

Please, take time and proofread your posts. I did not add any needed punctuation either.

Sell the Vert, fix the TII. It's a waste of money to do tons of rust repair to the floor. It will be more cost effective to repair the TII. Have it painted with the money and time you would've spent repairing the rot on the vert.

Buy another Vert with no rust in the future if you really want one.

It's stupid to spend all your time and money fixing a car like just startn when you could have just bought one that was in better shape for less.

Same way I'm thinking. I've put so much time into this car, I hate to get rid of it. Wish I knew someone I could sell it to now and buy it back in a year in the same shape. But this is the first time I've felt its time to start something new.

I could hardly give two ***** about the cheaper easier way of going at things. I did all this work to this car for the passion of doing it, if I were cheap or lazy I would of junked it and found a clean one.

Regardless, in my current financial situation, somethings got to go. This Turbo II is a great opportunity, but I hate to get rid of the vert.

You're the one that posted up for everyone to read and reply with an opinion about it. No need to hate.

You're going to do more work to whatever car your keep for the passion of it. It seems like you Really want the TII, but you feel like it's a waste to get rid of the vert.

It's also not cheap or lazy to find a clean car to start with, it's cost effective, and lets you spend more money on what you want instead of repairs.

It's a passion, it's a way of lfe, it's my life. it will be the cleanest restored 2nd Gen Vert i have ever came across. Well, after thinking about it for a long time, regardless of all the work and time, decided to sell it, and it just sold tonight.

So now the project will be this, has a ton of potential, and no rust like the vert had...

Will be starting another thread once I start working on it, I have all the parts to put it together, will be running a pretty decent setup to.

The vert went to a good home, a guy that I knew of back in WI has it, he plans on doing suspension and wheels and dailying it, so I am content knowing it will get further bettered than it is now.

So did you post the vert on craigslist or did the guy you just sold it to?

Thats the new owner. He got the vert planning on daily driving it, but less than a day later he informed me he got called back to europe, and had to sell all his cars. I really hope it goes to a good home.

And while I'm posting, I got a new daily driver car which I had less than 48 hours... and apparently I was not suppose to get rid of the vert, because today a civic decided to blow a stop sign and I hit him, and my new car is most likely totaled... can post pics, but not right now.
least it wasn't the vert. I'd be crushed lol if the vert got into a accident.

Bad ***. That would be sweet. actually you should keep the civic, do not sell it or let the insurance say you can't keep it if the bank don't own it. Take the civic tie the core support to a tree and go in reverse, get a couple good sludge hammers. replace radiator, replace headlights. Perfect DD. i bought my civic for $200 clean no rust (just shell) its been totaled twice, 2 checks wrote to me one for 1600 and the other for 1250 . Keep the civ find old people to pull out in front of you and buy the vert back, restore it
