Absolutely, You'll almost always find a buyer. Can you list the kinds of things you have?
I have a bit of everything from nuts and bolts to e-shafts.
I have a front cover that I bought to remove the stock studs for my replacement engine. I got it cheap because it was painted red, I plan on removing the paint and ordered some new stock parts for it!
If I polish out the casting marks would it still be of interest to a stock rebuilder? Or is this a no-no?
Hi, just wanted to share how my original 88 hood prop came out.
The hook end was worn off so I cut it down to a convenient point and used some handle dip to recoat it.
Removed the rust and sanded it to 600 grit, then sealed it with clear satin engine paint.
The remaining black plastic coating I treated with "ceramic trim coat".
The hold down is painted black with bolts sprayed with clear satin after cleaning them with a wire brush.
What do you think of my detailing? If this was going to be a "stock" detailing I would of stayed with black bolts for the hold-down. I like to contrast between parts!
Hi everyone,
As I progress in getting my 88 GXL back on the road I have accumulated a bunch of stock parts that are too nice to toss out.
These stock parts are to be cleaned and inspected to be in sound condition to be reused in a restoration.
Once I have the time they will be offered for sale on this forum, I do appreciate those who are trying to do a fully stock restoration to these unique automobiles!
Hi everyone
One of my fuel injector connectors had a side broken off, I received a stock replacement and during the process I needed to unwrap the harness to be able to splice the connector wires. After removing all the tape, I reached a point where there was a bracket that bolted to the engine or air pump?
I removed all the pieces from the harness, and this is what it consisted of: five parts of the bracket assembly assembled parts
Each part nests into the next one, then the metal bracket snaps on to the complete assembly once it is attached and taped onto the harness wires.
This is the stock assembly from the factory for those looking for a complete stock restoration.
How do I know, I purchased this rx-7 new from the showroom floor and know exactly what has been changed.
Hi everyone,
After attaching my rebuilt N/A transmission I noticed this.
There's a plug thing down at the lower right of the bellhousing, in front of where the starts goes!
Mine was falling apart, used crazy glue and handle coating, that's why it's red.
This is the important picture, from the outside where the bellhousing attaches to the rear iron there is an open gap!
This is the reason for the plug. If yours is missing, the opening will allow all manner of road debris and water to get into the bellhousing.
That can't be good for the clutch and starter.
I never realized that this gap existed, if you see a notch cutout on the bottom of your bellhousing, check for the gap!
If you do not have the stock plug in good shape I would seal up the gap with a thick application of RTV sealant.
