Tales of a breath mint.

After getting my 86 S/4 going again, I ran into the inevitable problem of ceramics and heat.

I usually keep a functional set in the garage for reasons obvious. . . But this last time around I left the system on the car for too long and paid the price.

One thing of interest, you have to get creative to get a front cat replaced in California. Nobody sells a front cat that can be shipped into California because apparently nobody wants to pay for CARB certification when the volumes are so low.. If you can't play shipping games, or get a vendor to ship it anyways, you need to have a universal one made into what you need.

You can get a middle and last cat. . . .Just not a front one.. . . . .The one that cools the breath of the beast.

Davico 13047 .. . . . .More round and less oval than the last one.

Front cat 86 N/A manual transmission

2" inlet. . . . .I wonder what the OEM cat was.

quite the monstrosity . .

The message is to treat your cats with respect. . . .. . . You never might know when you will need them. . . .
