So, I've been digging and searching for some time, but have been unable to find mention of, or even see pictures of the little plastic pieces that clip into the carpet on either side of the spare tire. I assume they are vents of some sort, made from the same dismal plastic that the rest of the vents are made from. I' guessing these are NLA, can anybody point me in the right direction?
I'm getting rid of that Feature on my carpet as the old rear carpet split where the trim is compressed on.
If you can't find the vents then maybe do what I am doing and get a piece of carpet that is about the same color and trace over it with the old one..cut and just put on the rear trim piece.
After all the carpet is just a flat piece of rug but shaped to the contour of the inside rear section of the car.
*no!..ahem!.. my old ones are Grey..not Burgundy..so I can't help ya..sorry.
Thanks, guys! There was another build thread where the owner had replaced the carpet that way too. Good idea. It just stinks, my carpet is in good shape and I hate to get rid of it because of those stinkin' vents. On the other hand, I can get rid of those useless cargo straps if I change it...
