Should I settle for vert?

I've been looking to get an FC for a long while now... but nothing in my area ever shows up that's a decent price and hardtop. It seems like every non-vert FC is nearly double the price of a vert in similar condition. I found one nearby that sounds amazing and is in decent condition for a good price, but it's convertible. I really really am not a fan of how the vert FC looks, but I feel as though I may need to settle. Should I go for it, or wait for better hardtop options to come around?

i have a vert and gtx coupe. It's nice to cruise around with the top down. Been wanting to find a turbo 2 vert for awhile. I'd recommend the vert to anyone. Good starting point to get into the rx7 since they're cheaper than coupes too.

I would wait and get what you really want. The convertible cars are nice, but they lose some of their sporty appeal to the coupe in my opinion. It won't hurt to drive a couple and then drive the convertible that you're considering and make a more educated decision. If you're ever in Northern Ohio, you're welcome to take my 10th Anniversary RX-7 for a drive to compare it to a convertible.

i think my favorite Rx7 is the convertible. its a nice place to be, but its much less sporty than the coupe.

I love my vert. It is in excellent condition, the top is perfect, and I love an open top car. I get people looking at me all the time when I'm cruising in that baby.
Had the same year back in the day, a coupe. Liked it as well, but like the vert better. I put in 4 jbl stadium 620s (2 behind the seats, where those little subs were) and a sub in the trunk. With the top down, so loud and clear it makes your insides quiver.
Yes, i love my vert. But...if I were you, I would not settle. Just be patient.
