Have a series 5 ECU and engine but series 4 body harness, trying to get a picture of the pin out of the both plugs that jacks into the back of ecu so I can splice in necessary wires to make it work. Thanks!

If you make it work youd be the first.

 

observing the pinouts the color coding and wires r the same, only missing two pins. S4 is 24 s5 is 22 and i matched the colors to confirm n it checks out. Is it not this simple?

 

It was a long time ago when I attempted this, but like everyone else, I ended up giving up and buying a standalone.

Your best bet is to convert the S5 engine to s4 and run the s4 ECU.

Or maybe im not remembering correctly. Maybe im thinking of JSPEC to USDM.

 

So i just searched around a bit and i gues i can be done. But honestly youre better off just swapping to an S4 front cover and using the s4 stuff.
