I just recently bought an 1987 gxl shell that was missing quite a few interior pieces. I made the mistake of trusting an ebay listing for a gauge cluster surround that was advertised as 87-91 rx7. Turns out it was intended for an s5 rx7 rather than my s4. I'm wondering if it is possible to swap an s5 turn signal switch into my gxl using the s5 gauge surround trim piece. I'm not concerned about having to re-pin connectors to make the switch work, just about the actual mounting of the s5 turn signal switch.

I currently have the s5 gauge surround with all the connected switches and an s5 turn signal switch. Do I need anything else in order to install them into an s4 car? Thanks

 

Should work just fine. I've been using S4 gauge surrounds in my S5 for years because that's all that shows up in the junkyard around here. Don't see why the S5 wouldn't work in a S4. The mounting for the switches is the same if IIRC. It's only the connectors that are different.
