N/A to turbo

Does anyone have a definitive list for 6 port to 4 port turbo ?

I have a 1988 convertible and this is all I know about the process.

fabricate 4 port intake manifold to 6 port and the rest is bolt ons and ECU stuff

I literally know nothing about how to tune the ECU but that's another story, so yeah basically does anyone have a list step by step?

You're going to want to use the forum search function to find the information you're looking for. I don't think there's one single "spoon feed" thread on this topic.

One of the cleaner examples of a 6port turbo is @Relisys190 and his build thread linked here : 1990 GTU Turbo - RX7Club.com - Mazda RX7 Forum

Well it's a process for sure but I very much enjoyed it. There were a few parts that I had trouble sourcing but for the most part everything came together very nicely. My build starts on post number 49 in the thread here's a link and feel free to reach out for any questions. It's been a few years since I put the car together and havn't had to do much of anything just driving it.

There's really not much fabrication needed, You can bolt a Turbo lower and upper intake manifold assembly to a NA block. You'll need to have some welding filling done on the lower manifold to fill some gaps as shown in post #52 of my build thread. LIM port fill and matched.

I had to have a custom down pipe fabricated using an RB downpipe as a doner only because I did not want to have to replace my existing "True Dual" Racing beat system. There are photo's in my build thread of this process. I swapped front covers to have proper turbo oil drain back into the pan, but others have simply tapped their existing oil pan for this purpose. My goal was to have the engine bay looking OEM as possible while swapping over to a Haltech ECU. I am using an oil filter sandwhich plate to provide oil to the turbo Center housing. And for turbo coolant feed I bypassed coolant going from my throttle body (Im warm climate) and using the rear iron nipple to supply coolany flow to the Turbo assembly. The return is looped back into the rear of the water pump housing.
