FL my JDM s5 T2 motor has 3 spark plugs per housing

I have only been able to find 1 article on rx7club with information on this. But yeah, my jdm engine I just bought has these cool housings that are in perfect condition with 3 spark plugs in it. When we opened the engine you can see that there was work done to the water jackets as well. Anyone have info on how this works and if I should keep that setup or if the traditional spark plug setup is better? Thanks in advance.

there is a company in Japan that did these, and Revolution still sells them. its custom. the R26B had 3 plugs, and there are some small benefits, so the aftermarket tried it.

its pretty rare to see that now, this was more cool in 99-2000. around yk2 they built some crazy cars in Japan, and they still build cars, but they seem to end up more mild now. not that this is bad, the mild cars are probably more fun to drive. the crazy ones were better in the magazines though

Cool thanks for the feedback. Hopefully someone can chime in on if I should keep this setup or just use the original leading and trailing plugs.

This is nuts! If you end up selling them and there is a dead one, I want it for a wall hanger!
