Identify the mystery tmic

So, when I picked up my FC, this intercooler was in with a box of parts. There are no markings on it. It looks like a bracket was cut/ground off on the side. He has an FD, Maybe he had this in the wrong parts box? Looks like it would need a bracket at the least. Long shot, but I’d love to not go front mount just yet.
Its kind of beat up, not sure if it holds pressure, I’d have to test it. But, if it’s truly an improvement over my current top mount, I might try to get it hooked up.

There's a good chance that was a wheel well mounted intercooler from another vehicle. I don't believe that its a top mount and it sure isn't an original intercooler from an FC.

Yeah, that was my fear. guess that idea is a no go. Now, to figure out a front mount system that lets me keep my ac.

Thanks for the reply.

Are there any part numbers or any manufacture's mark stamped into the tanks?

looks like an ARC intercooler from the end tank design and fins.

That’s what he said, but even if the bracket wasn’t cut off, it wouldn’t be in the right spot. I have looked up arc Intercoolers, but they generally look way different than this. Kind of flashy, while this one is exceedingly plain.

no markings whatsoever. I will think on it, maybe still worth trying, if it even holds pressure.

You can try it, but I'm not sure its designed as a top mount intercooler. The original intercooler would do a fair job until you start doing some mods. The stock units can heat soak and you can feel when they do. However, the hood scoop and seal ensure that the air that is fed to the intercooler is being fed efficiently and the seal prevents a lot of the air loss as air is fed to the intercooler via the hood scoop. Pretty decent setup on a stock or mostly stock TII.
