FC3 Charging And Electrical System

I was hoping that among the amazingly talented people here, there is an electrical engineer here.

I just rewired my charging system with 4awg. I was considering adding buss bars and inline fuses or using a fuse distribution block to have some better options. I will try to install this on the wheel well near the Battery and the Igniter.

My Idea:
Amazon Amazon

The original grounding is intact with this. The 12v section seems a bit over complicated. The alternator wire runs to the fuse block. However, this wire is spliced and has a connector added. I don't recall where this goes.

Does this splice need to be fused? After there it goes to the main fuse and off to the battery. The battery also has the starter wire.
In the new version it would put the battery on a fuse in the distro instead, same with the starter.
I would have an in-line fuse for the alternator wire then into the distro.
The new wiring would be 4awg to the OEM fuse block.
I could modify the main fuse size and move the old alternator wire with the splice to the OEM fuse block.

I am missing something, I am sure. What say you? Is this overboard and I should just use buss bars and inline fuses?

Edit: The splice on the alternator wire is the ignition wire and not fused in these cars. I will fuse it anyway.

Is this intended to replace the stock engine bay fuse block?

I've added a distribution block and a circuit breaker, but that was because I relocated my battery to the passenger side bin. It's still wired exactly as stock with the battery + going directly to a circuit breaker, which then goes to a distribution block, where I have one wire going to the starter, and one to the main fuse block. I've also pulled power for an aftermarket amp from that block, but that's a different story.

That single pin black connector feeds 12v to all of the interior fuses. Was the source of a ton of butthurt when I was in college and couldn't figure it out.

This will be in addition to the two fuse boxes in the car already. I probably should have run the wires to the passenger side like you.
The picture is actually labeled with my idea. It is very small on the phone.

Thanks, this makes sense when I see it written down. It is very obvious now. I will make this a fused connection.

Thanks for the input everyone, I will try to make a proper drawing when time is available.
