Air temp sensors - more than one type??

Air temp sensors - more than one type??
Ok, im using an old microtech which utilises an "FC" sensor numbers N326 and K5 stamped on the side. Broke one of the terminals and repaired it but bought another one, this one has numbers N326 and 11S. Measuring resistance at room temp the k5 reads lik 0.4 ohm, the 11s over 1.0. On my hand held the k5 is accurate, but the 11s reads zeros, or -30 in extreme heat.
Does anybody know which one is which and where to get another K5? I bought the 11s believing it was for any FC tII.
Cheers.

far as i have noticed they are all the same, n/a and turbo. i think i am even using an n/a one in my car(the original broke as you described, it happens quit a bit), never ran into your issue but this would be isolated to the microtech and maybe i just overlooked it somehow. in the stock ECU cars that sensor has almost no use.
if i remember ill see if i have any spares at the shop and get a resistance reading.

it might be an aftermarket thing, as i said, that sensor has almost no practical use so an aftermarket supplier might be passing off the wrong resistance sensors and no one would be the wiser except us standalone users that require factory sensors.

the ECT sensor has a similar stamp as it's switch point, so it's quite possible that number relates to it's temperature calibration. but im not at the shop so i dont have any to look at.
mazdatrix should be selling OEM parts, but this may be some sort of an updated part. who knows. mazda did do a few things with the sub zero and idle assist systems over the years as bandaid fixes. the microtech is calibrated off the original equipment, so if this is an updated part it would be thrown off. the stock cars used the AFM temp sensor for air and fuel mixtures, this wasn't an important sensor.
