I am in the process of restoring my 10th AE and sending the rims out for powder coating. Can anyone tell me if the original finish was Gloss, Semi or Matte? I think it was gloss just double checking. Thanks!

 

From my observations, all 10th AE cars came with white aluminum wheels. 16"

Personally, I would do white, , , But I have a 1993 White on White VFR750 so I am biased.

Keep that car in the garage, they are not getting any younger.. . I am in the process of keeping my 86 N/A S4 alive.

 

The wheels were painted the same color as the car, Crystal White, and were painted with the same single stage gloss coat paint.

Powder coating the wheels may leave them with and off color to your car, especially if the paint is original and has faded.
