What is the difference between series

What is the difference between the 20B series A,B,C,D. I know that the newer ones are stonger, but does anyone have pictures showing the differences. My 20B has had the numbers ground off and I am trying to figure out what type I have.

If you do a search you'll find a thread with all the info you need on the differences between the series. AFAIK if the numbers where ground off and that area was painted black by Mazda thats good. I believe it was a newer engine that was sent back to Mazda under warranty and rebuilt with the newer up to date parts. Someone correct me if i'm wrong. But if you do a search for that thread in this section it will tell you.

They missed the irons when they ground off the numbers on the housings, I found B029 stamped on all 3 irons. This is good since it is a stronger motor.
