strange fuel leak problem
strange fuel leak problem
So I had the car in good working order and tunned at PFS. Made 471 at 12 psi and the car runs great.
I was working on the car today on an electical issue on the dash. I had to turn the key on/off a couple times in my diagnostic of the dash problem. Ofcourse, everytime I turned the key on, the fuel pumps (2 walbros) would turn on briefly. After a few times, I started smelling gas. I thought maybe the gas tank is venting. But my AF gauge started flashing very rich (even though car is not running). Then, all hell broke loose.
There was a steady stream of fuel pouring out from underneath the car. It continued to pour until the aeromotive FPR pressure went to zero. I thought it must be that a fuel line broke. So I removed the UIM to inspect. To my surprise, all fuel lines were intact. No external leaks anywhere from the top of the engine. I went underneath the car, and it looked like fuel was coming out between the engine and header flange!
There was fuel in the UIM and the TB (secondaries). Looking into the LIM, the secondaries had a different color (rusty) than primaries. The primary injectors are stock 550 (serviced by RC) and secondaries are 1680cc (new). They don't have too many hours on them since I've just got the car to run right.
One thing I should note is I capped off the air vents going to the primary injectos (with a hose and bolt for both vents).
I have not tried to start the car since this happened. What do you think is the problem? I've attached some photos for your viewing. Thanks for your inputs.

I forgot to mention my fuel set up......
2 walbro pumps in the tank, each feeding the primary and secondary rails, the rails then go to an aeromotive 13109 FPR (2 ins, one out), then one line back to the tank. So basically the path is pump to rail to FPR to tank.
I used the 3 stock fuel lines for this set up, 2 going to the engine and one back to the tank. The thing is, all 3 lines are the same in diameter. So I am shoving fuel from 2 lines into one line (going back to the engine).
Maybe the FPR was not able to maintain pressure since it was getting fuel from 2 lines and the one line going back to the tank could not flow enough, thereby overpresurrizing the rails?
