Lightbulb The next step for 20B swap

Hey whats up guys i havent been on in a while alot has changed tho, any way im stationed in okinawa and own a 96 FD3s, I just recently bought a 20B engine and was wondering what the next step was in swapping it i already found an Power FC engine management I just wanted the experts opinion before i swap it in thanks in advance.

First, the PFC will not work. I guess a logical first step would be to find a capable ECU. Start figuring out which mounting option you want (i.e. - DA kit, subframe, or custom).

I hope I don't come across as a *****, because I'm completely sincere here: I'd recommend spending several months reading through this sub-forum and the single turbo (supposing you're going to boost it) sub-forum before I spent one more penny or turned a single wrench on the project.

To do this swap well takes a lot of careful consideration and knowledge. It's all on here.

where are you leaving the car while you are doing this? When I was there they had tycoon motors but they charged to leave the car there every night. a project on this scale is going to take a long time and like jjshaloam said a lot of $$. I hope you realize that you will probably have $10-15k invested to do this swap. good luck. There is a rx7 guru over there who did a 20b swap and rebuilt my motor before i came back. but I think he got out of the rotary scene.

cool appreciate it guys, im gonna leave at kadena unless its cheaper at typhoon motors. so PFC wont work im glad i didnt waste 500 bucks i woulda been pissed thanks so much for tellin me that
